Description
Our 5 day Salkantay trek combines exciting trails where you can enjoy incredible landscapes such as the Humantay Lagoon, snow-capped mountains and the cloud forest, ending this adventure with a hike through the lush jungle of Cusco and Machu Picchu.
Itinerary
Wake up early and have breakfast; we start a hike through the cloud forest for 3 hours. Observe the fantastic landscape of rivers and waterfalls; after lunch, 3 hours more you will arrive to Lucmabamba camp where you will have zip line activity (only if you booked) and then back to the camp you can enjoy activities in coffee plantations and processes.
* If you wish you can go to the hot springs of Cocalmayo which are located 30 min from our camp (not including transportation or extra entrance fees), please let us know in advance to organize this extra activity.
Wake up with an excellent breakfast and start the hike to Llactapata from where you will have an excellent view of the landscape and Machu Picchu, then you will walk downhill to Hidroeléctrica for lunch and continue walking another 3 hours to Aguas Calientes. Tonight you will spend the night in a hotel.
After breakfast, we take the buses to Machu Picchu to see the sunrise. Explore the best of Machu Picchu with your private tour guide. Once you finish return by bus to Aguas Calientes where you will have time for lunch before boarding the train and bus back to Cusco.
