At 9:30 a.m., it’s time for a 3-hour downhill trek, descending from 3,300 to 2,100 meters. By midday, we reach the first suspension bridge, pause, and trek 30 more minutes to San Juan de Chuccho for a scrumptious lunch. Afterward, wander through Malata and Cosñirhua villages.
As the sun sets, we land at the enchanting Oasis Sangalle at 1,900 meters. Unwind in adobe bungalows and take a dip in the pool surrounded by lush greenery. The perfect end to an exhilarating day!
Rise and shine for our sunrise ascent at 5 am! By 8:30 am, we’re in Cabanaconde for breakfast and town exploration. Hop on the bus to Chivay, catching views of ancient terraces on-route.
