Join the adventure! From Cusco, we head to Tinqui through the breathtaking Vilcanota mountain range, passing charming Andean villages along the way. After a scrumptious breakfast in Tinqui, our trek begins.Ā
We meander through farming communities, taking in stunning mountain views for about 3 hrs before a lunch break. Another 2 hrs lead us to Upis (4,100 m / 13,448 ft), where we unwind in local hot springs before dinner. Get ready for a night of wonder as we camp under the starsāthis is the beginning to an unforgettable journey!

Big breakfast, big adventure! Get ready as we tackle the trail to the majestic Arapa Pass (4,850 m / 15,908 ft). Witness panoramic views of snow-capped Mt. Ausangate and the breathtaking Pucacocha.
Marvel at the vibrant hues of lakesāPucacocha, Hatun Pucacocha, and Qomercochaāpainted in reds, greens, and turquoises. Our second camp, cozied up near the Ausangate glacier, is waiting to make your day even more unforgettable!

Rise to coca tea served with a smile! Today, our trek unveils the distant Rainbow Mountains and guides us through the unique life of Alccatauri Village. The adventure begins with a 1 Ā½ hour uphill climb to Ausangate Pass (4,930 m / 16,170 ft); here we witness the red mountains and spot VicuƱas, chinchillas, and alpacas.
Descending to Alccatauri Village (4,400 m / 14,435 ft), we swap coca leaves for hospitality and relish a delightful lunch. Then, a 1 Ā½ hour ascent to Minasniyuq Pass reveals the Rainbow Mountains (5,020 m / 16,469 ft), where we make offerings to Pacha Mama – Mother Earth!
The day concludes with a 1-hour downhill hike to our camp, Surine Cocha (4,800 m / 15,748 ft), nestled by the breathtaking Surine Lake.

After breakfast, gear up for a 2-hour uphill trek to the legendary Rainbow Mountain (5,020 m / 16,469 ft). Your guide ensures you snap the perfect shots of this natural marvel, unravelling its mineral secrets and vibrant huesāa treasure found in only two countries globally, Peru and China!
Post-photo session, we descend for a thrilling 2 Ā½ hours to Quesiuno Village. Lunch awaits, setting the stage for our journey back to Cusco in a private van. The grand finale to one of life’s most rewarding experiences! Drop-off at your Cusco hotel around 6 PM.
