After a hearty breakfast, head to the airport for a flight to Cusco. Upon landing in the imperial city, our transfer takes you to your Cusco hotel.
In the afternoon, delve into a guided tour of this historic city, once the heart of the Inca Empire. Explore the Convent of Santo Domingo, erected atop the Inca Temple of Qoricancha, a sacred site adorned with gold leaf depictions. The tour continues to the grand cathedral, a magnificent landmark in the city. Ascend to the hills to discover the imposing walls of Sacsayhuaman, offering panoramic vistas of Cusco.

Embark on a full-day exploration of the Sacred Valley, starting with a 7:30 am pick-up from your hotel. Begin the journey through Pisac, a colonial town along the Sacred Valley route. Immerse yourself in the vibrant indigenous market, offering a chance to purchase unique handicrafts and souvenirs.
Continue the adventure to the archaeological wonders of Pisac, nestled high in the mountains, showcasing impressive Inca ruins. Afterward, proceed to the picturesque towns of Calca and Urubamba, where a buffet lunch awaits, featuring traditional Andean dishes.
In the afternoon, visit the charming town of Ollantaytambo and explore its well-preserved Inca archaeological site, providing insights into ancient Inca life. On the return journey to Cusco, pass through Chinchero, a captivating Andean locale known for its multicolored cultivated fields. The day commences with an early pick-up from your hotel at 5:00 am. Embark on a journey to km 82, the starting point of your Inca Trail hike. The initial ascent spans 3 hours, covering a distance of 10 km, leading you to the archaeological marvel of Llactapata.
A delightful lunch awaits, followed by a 30-minute, 1 km hike to Huayllabamba, a tranquil Andean community. As the day progresses, prepare for camping, and by 7:00 pm, relish a well-deserved dinner with vegetarian options available.
With the break of dawn, savor a hearty breakfast as you prepare to tackle the trail ahead. The morning’s adventure involves a challenging ascent of approximately 4 hours, covering a distance of 10 km, leading you to the pinnacle of Warmiwañusca, standing tall at 4200 meters.
Marvel at the diverse ecosystems unfolding before you, ranging from the arid puna (mountain grasslands) to the lush high jungle. Following a well-deserved lunch around 2:00 pm, embark on a 3-hour descent spanning 9 km to reach the Pacaymayo Valley.
Navigate wooden bridges, traverse tunnels, and negotiate rocky steps as you traverse this varied terrain. Camp will be set up near the river, providing a picturesque backdrop for the evening. Anticipate a delicious dinner as you unwind amidst the natural beauty of the Pacaymayo Valley.
Fuel up with a delicious breakfast before embarking on a 45-minute descent, exploring the archaeological wonders of Runkurakay and the Inca citadel Sayacmarca. The trail then leads to Puya Patamarka, where you’ll indulge in a satisfying lunch.
Continue the journey with a 2-hour walk, unveiling the mesmerizing archaeological site of Wiñay Huayna. If your reservation was made at least 6 months in advance, you’ll have the privilege of setting up camp at Wiñay Huayna, creating an enchanting atmosphere for the evening.
For those not staying at Wiñay Huayna, the camp will be set up at Puyapatamarka. As the day draws to a close, a delectable dinner awaits around 7:00 pm, providing nourishment and relaxation in the heart of these ancient landscapes.
Gear up for an early start at 5:00 am, setting out after breakfast for a scenic 1-hour hike through the high jungle to Inti Punku, also known as “The Gate of the Sun.” This alternative route offers mesmerizing views of Machu Picchu, providing a unique perspective of this archaeological wonder.
Upon reaching Machu Picchu, embark on a 2-hour guided tour, exploring its main sites and unraveling the mysteries of its history. Following the guided tour, you’ll have free time to wander and absorb the magical atmosphere of this ancient citadel.
In the late afternoon, descend to Aguas Calientes, regrouping at the train station 30 minutes prior to departure to Ollantaytambo. From Ollantaytambo, our private bus will transport us back to Cusco, concluding our journey at the Plaza de Armas.
Note: For those interested in climbing Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, it’s essential to book at least three months in advance due to limited availability. This optional activity is priced at USD 70.
Embark on an unforgettable adventure as we pick you up from your hotel between 4:30 am – 5:30 am. Our journey takes us south through the picturesque town of Urcos and into the district of Checacupe (2 hours by bus). Continuing along the road to Pitumarca, we’ll indulge in a delightful breakfast.
As we proceed, we’ll navigate through charming hamlets until we reach the community of Hanchipata – Quesiuno (1 hour and 20 minutes by bus), the perfect starting point for our trek to Vinicunca, also known as Rainbow Mountain.
Throughout the 3-hour hike, marvel at breathtaking landscapes, including the majestic Ausangate mountain and serene blue lagoons. Upon reaching the summit of Vinicunca, immerse yourself in the mesmerizing blend of vibrant colors for about an hour, capturing the beauty through your lens.
After relishing the panoramic views, we’ll descend the trail and return to our awaiting bus. Our journey continues to Pitumarca for a well-deserved lunch before heading back to Cusco, marking the end of our exploration of Rainbow Mountain.
As your adventure comes to an end, enjoy a leisurely morning with breakfast at your accommodation. Today, take the opportunity to drive on your own (transfer included) to the Cusco airport for your flight back to Lima. From Lima, embark on your journey homeward, cherishing the memories of the vibrant experiences and stunning landscapes you encountered during your exploration of Peru.
