Itinerary
Gear up for an exhilarating day! We start at 6:00 am, boarding a scenic 1-hour bus ride to serene Calca.
The real adventure kicks off at 10:30 am as we ride mountain bikes from the breathtaking Abra of Lares, a mountain pass at 4470 m.a.s.l. Traverse isolated highlands, witness pristine snow-capped peaks, and descend into a canyon filled with Alpacas, Vicuñas, Llamas, quaint villages, farms, and ancient “Chulpas” (pre-Inca ruins), unveiling the historical significance of this area.
After exploring the ruins, savor a typical Peruvian lunch and a well-deserved rest. The biking adventure continues, leading us to the rejuvenating “Machacancha” hot springs.
As the sun sets, we embark on a 1-hour journey back to Calca, where our private transportation awaits, ensuring a comfortable return to Cusco by around 7:30 pm. A day packed with thrills, stunning scenery, and cultural discoveries awaits!
