Description
The Sacred Valley tour is a must for everyone visiting Cusco. In this tour you will pass through Pisac, where you will find a classic colonial town and Inca remains that still carve the stunning terraced mountains. Afterwards you will visit the picturesque towns of Calca and Urubamba, and later you'll arrive at the town and Inca archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Finally we pass by Chinchero, one of the most interesting places of the Andes, with its multicolored cultivated plains, chain of snowy peaks and a beautiful sunset.
Itinerary
We pick you up in your hotel at 7:30am and take you to your first stop in the Sacred Valley of the Incas is Pisac (P’isaq), the colonial town.
We will find the indigenous and traditional market, where you will be able to purchase hand crafted goods and souvenirs. After exploring town we then head towards the Pisac ruins and terraces that are beautifully carved into the highest mountains.
Then we continue the journey and appreciate the picturesque villages Calca and Urubamba where we enjoy a buffet lunch with traditional stews. In the afternoon we visit the village and Inca Archaeological site of Ollantaytambo which was inhabited 500 years ago and still remains in a good state.
Returning to Cusco we go through Chinchero, one of the most interesting place of the Andes, bearing plateaus of multi-coloured crop fields, a chain of snow peaks of the valley and a beautiful sunset. We’ll also visit the colonial church that lies on an Inca palace and the site museum appreciating Andean clothing before we head back to Cusco, arriving around 7pm.
