Itinerary
Upon your arrival in Lima, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, after settling into your hotel, we head to the Magic Water Circuit, a system of fountains certified by the Guinness World Records located in the exhibition park. This fascinating attraction captivates visitors year-round and has become one of Lima’s most popular destinations. After exploring, we’ll suggest dinner options before returning you to your hotel to rest.
• Please note that check-in at hotels in Lima starts from 3 pm.
According to your flight departure time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Lima and transfer you to the airport. The journey takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Upon your arrival in Cusco, a representative of our company will be waiting to transfer you to your designated hotel in Cusco. Please note that hotel check-in in Cusco typically begins around 11 am.
After a short rest, we will coordinate your pickup at 1:30 pm for the city tour, which lasts for 4 hours. The tour includes a guided visit to the Convent of Santo Domingo and Qoricancha, followed by visits to the Inca archaeological sites located on the outskirts of Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. After the tour, you will return to Cusco.
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel at 7:30 am to begin the tour. We start in Pisac with a visit to its traditional handicraft market and archaeological remains. We then continue to Urubamba where we will enjoy an exquisite buffet lunch.
After a brief rest, we continue the tour to the tourist center of Ollantaytambo. Following our exploration there, we’ll visit the archaeological remains of Chinchero, another tourist center and colonial town. Here, we visit the church and the main square before returning to Cusco.
We will pick you up from your hotel around 5 am and head towards kilometer 82 in Ollantaytambo, where the hike begins. We’ll ascend for 3 hours (10km) until we reach the archaeological site of Llactapata. We’ll enjoy lunch there and then take a 30-minute hike (~1 km) to Huayllabamba. In the afternoon, we’ll prepare to camp, and dinner will be served around 7 pm.
Early in the morning after breakfast, we continue with the ascent for around 4 hours (10 km) until we reach Warmiwañusca (4200 m / 13,779 ft). From here, we observe a variety of ecosystems ranging from dry puna (mountain grasslands) to high jungle. After lunch, around 2 pm, we descend for 3 hours (9 km) towards the Pacaymayo Valley. Here, near the river, we’ll have dinner and set camp for the night.
Early in the morning, we descend for 45 minutes to explore the archaeological complex of Runkurakay and the Inca citadel of Sayacmarca. Then, we head towards Puya Patamarka for lunch and continue walking for 2 hours until we reach the archaeological site of Wiñay Wayna. If you’ve booked at least 6 months in advance, we’ll have the opportunity to set up our camp there, and dinner will be served around 7 pm.
After breakfast, we will hike for 1 hour ascending through the high jungle to Inti Punku, “The Sun Gate”. Here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Machu Picchu. We’ll then have a guided tour of Machu Picchu lasting 2 hours. Finally, we will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where we will meet at the train station 30 minutes before departure to Ollantaytambo. From there, we will take a bus back to Cusco.
• To climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, book 3 months in advance (US $70)
We’ll pick you up from your hotel around 4:30 am to 5 am and head south towards the town of Urcos, and to the district of Checacupe (2 hours by bus). From there, we continue to Pitumarca where we enjoy a buffet breakfast, and then pass through small villages until we reach the community of Hanchipata – Quesiuno (1 hour and 20 minutes by bus). This is the ideal starting point for the hike to Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain), which will take around 1 hour.
Afterwards, we have a buffet lunch in Pitumarca and then return to the city of Cusco.
On the last day, we will transfer you to the Cusco airport according to your flight schedule, where our service ends. You can then spend free time or wait for your international connecting flight to your next destination.
