Itinerary
Upon arrival in Lima, we will transfer you from the airport to your hotel.
At 12.30 pm we will pick you up for a city tour with a duration of 4 hours. We start the tour visiting the Plaza San Martin and the Jiron de la Union, which is a fascinating boulevard that leads us to the Plaza de Armas; the main square.
Next is the Monastery of San Francisco, a World Heritage Site. This monastery is known for its Spanish baroque architecture. Lima’s first cemetery, the Catacombs, is hidden beneath these floors of the monastery.
Our driver will then take you to your hotel where you have the rest of the day at your own leisure.
After breakfast at your hotel, we start our trip to Paracas at 5:30 am. Upon arrival we transfer you to the port of Paracas to embark on a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands, three small islands full of wildlife just a few minutes off the coast.
On the trip to the islands, we will be able to see the “Candelabra”, a giant candelabra-shaped hieroglyph. When we arrive at the Ballestas Islands, we will stay on the boat while watching the frenzy of amazing animals including noisy but playful seals and sea lions, as well as a large number of seabirds, including Humboldt penguins, pelicans, curlews, Inca terns, Peruvian boobies, red-footed boobies, red-footed cormorants and guanayes.
After our tour of the islands, we continue through the Ica region and make stops at wineries and vineyards where we can taste piscos and wines, before we have lunch (not included).
We then visit the Huacachina desert oasis, where we take a buggy ride on the sand to reach a sandboarding adventure down the desert hills. At the end of this activity we head to the hotel in Ica where we spend the night.
After breakfast we drive to Nazca (2,5 hours) to arrive at its airfield, where we will take a 40 minute flight over the incredible Nazca Lines. During this flight, we’ll be able to see the most fascinating figures such as: the monkey, the hummingbird, the tree, the parrot, the astronaut, the dog, the condor and others.
At the end of this activity we continue our trip by going to the aqueducts of cantayoc, Paredones and the cemetery of Chauchilla. We will have lunch (not included) in one of the restaurants of Nazca before we return to Lima, arriving around 9 pm.
