Picking up from the Airport to your chosen hotel. Free morning for calm and rest, and don’t have altitude sickness. Then we pick you up from the hotel to take the City Tour: 4 Hours. Guiding to visit the cathedral, the main square, and the convent of Santo Domingo. Later, we move on to the rest of the archeological sites located just outside the city of Cusco. These sites are Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. We will return to the city to spend the night in Cusco.
We pick you up from the hotel to take the guided tour to the SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS, where we see the little town of Pisaq and its typical handicraft market and the plaza.
We continue the journey to Urubamba where we have an exquisite buffet lunch, then we continue with the tour to get to the tourist center of Ollantaytambo where we are going to see important archeological remains. Coming back to Cusco by Chincheros, another tourist center and colonial town. There we visit the church and plaza. Then we return to Cusco at night.
Pick you up from your hotel. We drive to KM 82, where is the starting point of the Inca Trail, We begin our hike by crossing the bridge over the Urubamba River, visiting the archeological group named Llactapata. After a delicious lunch, we continue to reach the community of Wayllabamba, where we have dinner and camp.
After breakfast, we begin the most difficult part of the trek, climbing to the 4,200-meter Warmiwañusca Pass (Dead Woman’s pass). We may see domesticated llamas and alpacas grazing on ichu, one of the few plants that grow at high altitude. We also cross an area of the so called cloud forest, passing through Llulluchapampa. At the pass, we have a spectacular view of the Andes before beginning the descent to camp in Pacaymayo.
This day is the longest but also the most impressive and the most interesting. After breakfast, we continue with our trekking, visiting the different archeological groups situated in incredible microclimates and forests, we have lunch,and at afternoon, we visit the archeological group WIÑAYHUAYNA an impressive Inca complex made up of an agricultural center. After visiting the impressive archaeological site, close to our camp, we enjoy our farewell dinner at our camp.
We start hiking early towards Inti Punku, or Sun Gate, where we have a spectacular panoramic view of Machu Picchu. Then walk down to the Sanctuary with the professional guided walking tour of Machu Picchu.
To climb the mountain of Huayna Picchu we can choose one of the two groups at 07:00 am or 10:00 am. We make the trek up the mountain of Huayna Picchu it will take us about an hour but really worth it. After that, we walk down to aguas Calientes, where we take the train back to Cusco. Overnight at hotel.
