Description
A stunning journey that takes you to Paracas and a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands housing the "Candelabra" geoglyph and playful sea lions and Humboldt penguins, wine tasting in Ica and sandboarding in the Huacachina desert oasis!
Itinerary
After breakfast at your hotel, we pick you up and take you to Paracas at 5:30 am. Upon arrival we will transfer you to the port of Paracas to take the boat tour to the Ballestas Islands, three small islands full of wildlife just a few minutes off the coast.
On the trip to the islands, we will be able to see the “Candelabra”, a giant candelabra-shaped hieroglyph. When we arrive at the Ballestas Islands, we will stay on the boat while observing the frenzy of amazing animals that include noisy but playful sea lions, as well as an abundance of seabirds, including Humboldt penguins, pelicans, curlews, Peruvian boobies, red-footed cormorants and guanayes.
After our tour of the islands, we will head to the wine region of Ica where we make stops at the wineries and vineyards to taste piscos and wines. Then we have lunch at any Nazca restaurant (not included).
We then continue to the desert oasis of Huacachina where we take a buggy ride on the sand and have a thrilling sandboarding adventure down the desert hills. At the end of this activity we go to the hotel in Ica where we spend the night.
After breakfast, we will drive to Nazca (2,5 hours) and its airfield. Here we take a 40 minute flight over the incredible Nazca Lines. During this flight, we’ll be able to see the most fascinating figures such as the monkey, the hummingbird, the tree, the parrot, the astronaut, the dog, the condor and others.
At the end of this activity we will continue our trip going to the aqueducts of cantayoc, Paredones and the cemetery of Chauchilla. Then we have lunch (not included) in one of the restaurants of Nazca before returning to Lima, arriving around 9 pm.
