The main route of this tour is done in the comfort of the train, it is one of the fastest options to visit the wonder of the world Machu Picchu.
Itinerary
After an early breakfast we will head to Ollantaytambo to board our train to Aguas Calientes. You will have free time to spend the day as you wish relaxing at your hotel, relaxing in the local hot springs, hiking the small trails around the town or exploring the many restaurants and stores on offer in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town).
After breakfast we take the bus up to the citadel of Machu Picchu where you will be waiting to begin your 2 hour guided tour then free time to explore on your own or if you book for Huayna Picchu or Old Mountain (check if available). At the end of your experience take the opportunity to have lunch before boarding your train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and return to Cusco by bus.
Note: There is the possibility of spending one more night in Machu Picchu town paying USD 30.00 extra, and return the next day (if you want to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain is an additional USD 70.00 per person).
