Embark on an unforgettable experience by enjoying the best sights of Cusco, mainly by train, with this tour that combines locations from the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu.
Itinerary
As our first visit, we will head to the colonial city of Chinchero, where we will visit a handicraft shop in the city center, the archaeological remains, and the main square for approximately 1.5 hours before heading to our second archaeological area located in the village of Maras, Moray, and then Salineras (salt mines) for about 2 hours.
Continuing the tour, we will head to Urubamba where you can enjoy a delicious buffet lunch for approximately 30 minutes before we head to the Fortress of Ollantaytambo to discover its impressive Temple of the Sun; this tour will last approximately 1 hour.
Finally, we board the train to Aguas Calientes where you will spend the night and prepare for your visit to Machu Picchu the next day.
After breakfast, we head towards the citadel of Machu Picchu by bus, where we will have a guided tour of the different sectors for approximately 2 hours, followed by some free time to enjoy the citadel. Then, we’ll descend by bus to Aguas Calientes to board the return train to Ollantaytambo and finally to Cusco.
